MoMo Agent Launch

On Thursday, the 26th of August, 2019 at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, we launched the MoMo agent network; a service created for the ease of sending and receiving money anywhere in Nigeria, both in the rural and urban areas.

This innovation seeks to solve financial exclusion across Nigeria; and also solves issues such as; The problem of identity and access to financial infrastructures by leveraging MTN’s data

and distribution network to ensure the delivery of financial services to people across Nigeria.

The MoMo agent network will also tackle unemployment issues in Nigeria, as MoMo agents would earn a decent commission with multiple streams of income from the platform.

In a nutshell, the MoMo agent network is bringing banking to your neighbourhood and also to the unbanked who represent a huge number of people (60 Million) taking away transportation cost, a need for a bank account, and also providing a safe and efficient means of sending and receiving money anywhere in Nigeria.

Our goal in five years is to have 500,000 Momo agents across Nigeria, and also ensure that we have an agent that is 5 minutes away from where you live.

The launch witnessed several dignitaries from regulatory bodies, CBN, members of press and executives from MTN Nigeria. As we continue to identify and create solutions to needs we hope to brighten your lives.
