WORLD MALARIA DAY

Are you ready to beat Malaria?

This year’s world malaria day is themed ‘Ready to Beat Malaria’ which highlights the collective efforts and commitment of the global community in uniting around the common goal of a world free of malaria.

It further accentuates the remarkable progress achieved in tackling one of humanity’s oldest diseases, while also calling out worrying trends captured in the 2017 world malaria report.

In respect to this, we at MTNNG are quite passionate about this course and every year we sensitize, educate, provide treatment, create awareness around the disease and many more.

This year, MTN has joined forces internally and externally to create awareness and education around this menace; our walk-in centers and offices are decorated with patterns and pictures that spell out how to eradicate this disease and general education.

The HR Medical team also organized a seminar in collaboration with NIBUCCA to create awareness on eradication of malaria, we also would be running a session on Twitter with DR. Abirhire Ejogbamu who would answer lots of questions from our teaming customers online surrounding malaria, you can follow the conversation on @mtnng.

That’s not all, malaria themed song was also recorded to celebrate the day featuring our Ambassadors Chidinma Ekile and Praiz, which is available for ringback tunes. We also had mosquito nets and other vaccines distributed across the country.

As we continue to beat malaria together, we hope to see a significant reduction in malaria cases and death rates.
